A double alum of GW (BBA – Business Administration, MTA – Event Management) with 20 years of higher education experience, Leah has dedicated her career to building a full-service department that focuses on both innovative storytelling and fulfilling clients’ goals in creative ways. Leah is the architect of MCS as we know it today, having unified GW’s marketing efforts by bringing together graphic design, photography, videography, digital strategy, visual identity, licensing and trademarks and project management all under one office. In addition to overseeing MCS, Leah provides strategic direction for university-wide marketing initiatives and leads efforts to define and maintain the university's branding identity.
Before building MCS from the ground up, Leah cut her teeth in event management at GW, where she helped plan everything from GW’s Inaugural Ball to Commencement. There she developed her dedication to providing the audience with an incredibly positive experience—which soon became a guiding principle for MCS. By urging her department to work from this perspective of positive user experience, Leah has helped ensure that every project has the potential to delight the audience in new and innovative ways. This eagerness to experiment and connect with audiences has led to numerous successful projects and accolades, including the university's first two Webby Awards for online excellence in developing GW's Virtual Tour website and a handful of Emmy awards. Outside of the office, Leah enjoys silversmithing, playing with her dogs and eating sushi.
