MCS boasts several GW alumni who joined the team full-time after graduation, and Harrison is our most recent addition. While he’s a 2019 grad with a photojournalism degree, he started with our team as a student photographer during his freshman year. In addition, he has freelanced with USA Today Network’s Pennsylvania cluster and interned at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, working his favorite 4pm to midnight breaking news shift. Harrison is as modest as he is talented, so he was very surprised to be named the National Press Photographer Association’s Student Photographer of the year for 2018.
Outside of work, Harrison recently got his EMT certification and is working towards volunteering as a Firefighter/EMT in Maryland. Any other free time is spent photographing whatever he can get in front of his camera.
