Jon’s love of technology-enhanced storytelling began the moment he started making video games on his Texas Instruments computer as a kid, and it has continued throughout his life as the technology advanced. A proud Bostonian, Jon started out with stints as a sports journalist with the Boston Globe, a PR flack and education policymaker. These roles laid the groundwork for his career in higher education leadership, first as American University’s social media and web strategy lead and now here at MCS.
As Jon helms GW’s digital marketing strategy, he oversees all things digital, from social media, analytics and email marketing, to the migration experience of clients moving into Drupal. Jon also keeps up with digital and technology trends to both uncover novel ways to tell the GW story and expand its reach via SEO and analytics. Jon still carves out time to play ice hockey once a week, which, like his invented video games, is something he’s loved since childhood.
